Slowland

Slowland was a duo exhibition at Barbur Gallery with the Israel Award winner Bianca Eshel Gershuni. The whole space was covered with felt, and attempted to portray a slow "Disneyland" of some kind, or perhaps a "Disneyfelt". The audience was asked to take off their shoes at the entrance and explore the space along its different stations, such as "The Eye Contact" or the meditation ride "The Middle Way". One of the inspirations for the design was the tale of the Tortoise and the Hare, which was used as a reference point to Gershuni's work, in which she uses the turtle as a recurring theme/image.

There was also a musical performance during opening and closing night, "The Good/Bad Seed". The performance depicted the recurring trials of a pink loner in the woods who wishes to plant the good seed but loses patience very fast. Slowly they find out there is a Middle Way. The performance included live music and interactions with the objects and images on the walls.
